Foci by JAM (2021)

Collaborative project by JAM - Adina Dumitrascu, Mary Adams and Jasmine Staunton (Myself). Together we worked to choreograph, organise, film, edit and perform the work.

Foci is a dance film that was created based on distorting perceptions with visual explorations. There was no set narrative for the piece, just a journey that lets the movement, body, space and filming happen simultaneously. This was put together to make the audience question the way we view things in the hopes that it will leave the audience with more questions than at the start. What is the space? What is real? What is reflection?

Working collaboratively, each role merged and crossed over with one another. Designated role leaders were put in place to aid in positive productivity within the project.
